Dr. Mushquash Appointed AVPR and Chief Scientist

Dr. Christopher Mushquash has been appointed to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and the Thunder Bay Regional Health Research Institute as the Associate Vice President Research (AVPR) and Chief Scientist (CS). Dr. Mushquash will be a member of the Senior Leadership Council of the Hospital and the Executive Management Council of the Health Research Institute. This joint position will be responsible for promoting cross-disciplinary partnerships among researchers and creating a collaborative research environment within the Hospital, and with other key regional stakeholders. In addition to recruiting, retaining, and overseeing the scientific staff, the AVPR & CS champions the development of the scientific directions for the Hospital and Health Research Institute, and the conception and implementation of a strategic plan based on those directions.
